Ten minutes to softer, plumper skin.

Raw honey is both hydrating and antibacterial, which makes it a rare thing: a mask ingredient that suits dry and blemish-prone skin equally well. The avocado oil carries the vitamins, and the hyaluronic acid does the plumping.

Method
01

Mix

Stir the hyaluronic acid, raw honey and avocado oil together until smooth.

02

Scent it

Add the lavender essential oil if you want one.

03

Apply

Spread evenly over the face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.

04

Rinse

Rinse off with warm water and follow with your moisturiser.

Tips and swaps

  • Use raw honey if you can. The processed kind has lost most of what makes it worth using.
  • Tie your hair back. This one drips.

Recipe FAQs

Can I use ordinary honey?
You can, but raw honey is worth it. Processed honey has lost most of the enzymes and antibacterial properties that make it useful on skin.
How often can I use it?
Once or twice a week is plenty.
Is it suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin?
Yes. Honey is antibacterial as well as hydrating, which makes it one of the few mask ingredients that suits both dry and blemish-prone skin.
